Among these 5 projects, Truong Hai Auto Corporation (THACO) owns three including South Tam Anh industrial park, the expansion of Chu Lai - Truong Hai automobile mechanical industrial zone, and the deep water port in Tam Hiep commune (Nui Thanh district) that can receive 50,000-ton ships.
Another project belongs to New Zealand’s Zuru Company. Its total capital is about USD 6 billion invested in a factory for building materials and smart doors applying modern technology. The project is divided into three phases. The first phase is invested about USD 400 million to build the first plant, buy equipment, and construct a deep-water port. Its area is about 250-300ha.
The 2nd phase of the project is to develop a smart urban area of about 100-150ha with a total capital of about USD 1.2 billion.
In the 3rd phase, the second plant will be built and the smart urban area will be completed. USD 4.4 billion will be invested in this phase.
In addition, there is an MoU to build a complex of factories producing clean industrial and agricultural products.
At the same time, Bach Khoa Viet Company was given the project on constructing a complex of E5 bio-fuel plant, its storage, and a plant for pouring and charging liquefied gas. This 24ha project costs about VND3,500 billion, starting in 2019.
