Speaking at the opening ceremony, Mr. Vo Van Tho – Deputy Director of Department of Information and Communications said: The Ministry of Information and Communications had organized 101 exhibitions of Hoang Sa and Truong Sa map themed “Vietnam Hoang Sa, Truong Sa - Historical and legal evidences” nationwide. The Ministry also organized the exhibition in Praha (Crech) in July 2017, in Paris (France) in November 2018, in Matsxcova (Russia) in November 2018. Since 2015, Quang Nam has been the first province organizing the exhibition. Dong Giang district now is 12th local organizing this exhibition.
The set of maps and documents themed “Vietnam Hoang San, Truong Sa - Historical and legal evidences” displaying at the exhibition are a part historical and legal evidences collected from Vietnam and countries around the world. They are inseparable parts of Vietnam, explored by generations of Vietnamese people. The displaying contents and images affirmed the righteous stance of Vietnam, aising the spirit of solidarity and sense of responsibility, help foreigners understand historical facts, understand the desires and aspirations of the Vietnamese people in maintaining peace and stability.
The exhibition promoted communications and raised awareness and responsibilities of cadres, party members and people in protecting the sovereignty of the sea and islands.
The exhibition takes place in 3 days, from April 23 to April 25, 2019 at the Hall of Cultural Center of Dong Giang District.
