The agricultural sector faced difficulties due to the spread of African swine flu, so it increased only 1.3%, much lower than the 3.07% increase of 6 months of 2018. The fishery sector grew at 6.45%, the highest growth rate of the first 6 months in the last 9 years.
The average Consumer Price Index (CPI) in the first 6 months of 2019 increased by 2.64% compared to the same period in 2018. Disbursement of Foreign Direct Investment (FDI) in the first 6 months was estimated at 9.1 billion US dollars, an increase of nearly 8% over the same period. Total retail sales of consumer goods and services, international arrivals to our country increased. Exports reached USD $122.4 billion, imported reached USD $120.8 billion, export surplus reached USD $1.6 billion. In the last 6 months, the country has nearly 67,000 newly established enterprises, up 3.8% in number of enterprises and 32.5% in registered capital.
In Quang Nam, for the first 6 month, the total state budget revenue was more than 12,600 billion VND, accounting for 54.7% of the estimate; The investment environment has been improved, administrative reforms have been strengthened. The Provincial Competitiveness Index (PCI) in 2018 ranked well, ranking 7th in 63 provinces and cities nationwide. The number of newly established enterprises increased sharply over the same period, with 772 newly registered enterprises, an increase of about 14% over the same period.
