Building resilience to Natural hazards in Central Vietnam (Phase III) (29/09/2019)
The project “Building resilience to Natural hazards in Central Vietnam” is funded by The Project Phase III sponsored by the United States Agency for International Development (USAID) for five organizations including: Vietnam Red Cross/American Red Cross, Catholic Relief Services, Plan International, Save the Children and HelpAge International in Vietnam, of which the American Red Cross plays a coordination role.

In Quang Nam, PPC assigned the Quang Nam Disaster Prevention and Rescue Search Steering Committee to be the project owner; Department of Education and Training, Department of Planning and Investment, Department of Construction and People's Committees of Nong Son and Hoi An together implement the project.

The project aims to improve the resilience of vulnerable households, students and local government authorities towards natural hazards by integrating measures into socio-economic development plans.

The project will be implemented in Phuoc Ninh commune, Nong Son district and Thanh Ha ward, Hoi An city until March 23th, 2021.

PPC assigned the Steering Committee for Disaster Prevention and Search and Rescue in collaboration with the Department of Education and Training, Department of Planning and Investment, Department of Construction and People's Committee of Nong Son and Hoi An to implement the project as planning; strictly comply with the State's regulations on the reception, management and use of foreign non-governmental aid; report the results of the aid receipt to the Department of Finance nd relevant functional agencies as prescribed.
