The Government announced the 2,700th online public services (31/12/2020)
On the afternoon of December 30, the Government Office held a teleconference to review the 1-year operation of the National Public Service Portal and announce the 2,700th online public service. Deputy Prime Minister Vu Duc Dam attended and directed the conference, which was attended by leaders of ministries, central branches; experts and representatives of international organizations.
According to a report by the Office of the Government, the National Public Service Portal has integrated single sign-on with all ministries and ministerial-level agencies (except for the Government Inspectorate and the Committee on Ethnic Minority Affairs with specific characteristics); Vietnam Social Insurance, Vietnam Electricity Corporation and 63/63 localities. As of December 24, 2020, there are 412 thousand registered accounts. Currently, there are 6,798 administrative procedures, of which 58.1% of the administrative procedures are under the jurisdiction of the ministries and branches; 23% under the jurisdiction of local governments at all levels and 18.9% under the jurisdiction of the local vertical management agencies. The National Public Service Portal has served more than 99 million visitors (4.7 times higher than March 2020). 84 ministries, branches, agencies and localities have integrated and synchronized the state of administrative procedures with the National Public Service Portal; 27.2 million records have synchronized status (up 8 times as compared to March 2020). Currently, the number of administrative procedures integrated and provided online by ministries, branches and localities on the National Public Service Portal is 2,700 (accounting for 39% of the total number of administrative procedures nationwide). The online payment system of the National Public Service Portal is able to make online payments for all administrative procedures; 54/63 localities (85.6%), 14 ministries, branches and agencies (67.7%) have completely connected with the online payment system of the National Public Service Portal; over 45.7 thousand online payment transactions have been made.
 
At the conference, the Government Office announced the 2,697th public services on "Payment of financial obligations in implementing administrative procedures on land for households and individuals"; the 2,698th public service on "Providing construction planning information"; the 2,699th public service on "Licensing to build separate houses" and the 2,700th public service on "Declaration and payment of registration fees and issuance of registration and license plates for imported cars".
 
Speaking at the conference, Deputy Prime Minister Vu Duc Dam highly appreciated the efforts of ministries, branches and localities in implementing the National Public Service Portal over the past time; thanked for the help of international organizations, experts and businesses. Putting the National Public Service Portal into operation not only saves the state budget but also the time and effort for people and businesses. Through that, the Government is transparent and open to all activities before the people, recieves opinions of the people, and proceeds to build a service Government. Providing good online public services contributes to the prevention and fight against corruption, especially in the context of complicated developments of Covid-19 epidemic, the lack of contact with money, papers, and no direct transactions restrain the disease spread. The Deputy Prime Minister asked ministries, branches and localities in 2021 to focus on performing the following main contents: To change old working habits, boost the application of information technology in work handling; continue to improve the functions of the National Public Service Portal towards a user-centric orientation; increase the processing of dossiers and procedures in the network environment, form the habit of building databases at work of state agencies; promote cashless payment platforms; instruct all classes of people to use smart phones in using public services; ensure the safety and security of information on data systems and people's privacy.
