On September 6th, Quang Nam held a ceremony to receive the National Monument of Loc Yen Ancient Village. Attending the ceremony were Mr. Tran Dinh Tung - Vice Chairman of Quang Nam People's Committee, Mr. Nguyen Thi Thu Lan - Head of the Provincial Party Committee of Propaganda and Education.

Thanh Ha pottery in Hoi An city, the central province of Quang Nam, has been recognized as national intangible cultural heritage by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism.

A conference on evaluation of the conservation and promotion of Hoi An ancient town and My Son Sanctuary was held on September 7. Deputy Miniter Trinh Thi Thuy of the Minitry of Culture, Sport and Tourism, Chairman Dinh Van Thu and Vice Chairman Tran Van Tan co-chaired the conference.

To promote the image of Quang Nam in general, Hoi An and My Son in particular as well as to raise the awareness in preserving and promoting cultural and natural values, Quang Nam and the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, and the UNESCO Office in Hanoi organize some activities to celebrate in September 2019 in Duy Xuyen, Hoi An and others.

A preserved old house in the ancient village of Lộc Yên, Quảng Nam Province. The village has been recognised as a National Arts and Architecture Relic by the culture ministry.

On August 21, Quang Nam organized a press conference announcing activities on the celebration of the 20th anniversary of the recognition of Hoi An ancient town and My Son Sanctuary as UNESCO World Heritage Sites and the 10th anniversary of the recognition of Cham Islands as the World Biosphere Reserve by the UNESCO.

On August 8th, PPC worked with reprentatives from VTV8 to review and completing the program scripts of the 20th anniversary of Hoi An and My Son as World Cultural Heritages. Chairman Dinh Van Thu, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee Phan Viet Cuong, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee Le Van Dung chaired the meeting.

Hoi An – Japan cultural exchange and Vietnam-International Silk and Brocade Festival took place in Hoi An from August 8th to 11th, 2019.
